- COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)- Enrollment is Open
We are evaluating an FDA-approved medication used for the treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD or emphysema). Subjects must have severe lung impairment and chronic bronchitis (daily productive cough). They can use oxygen no more than 15 hours per day and must have had two significant flares in symptoms (hospitalization or oral steroids) in the preceding twelve months. Evaluation will include pulmonary function tests, and those who qualify will receive their basic medication (Advair or Symbacort) at no cost and will be compensated up to $800 for completing the year long study.
- Grass Allergy Rhinitis - Enrollment is Closed
We are evaluating a medication for its effectiveness in treating rhinitis due to grass allergy.
What can I expect if I qualify for a study and agree to participate?
Patients in studies will have a history and physical examination done as well as possible laboratory tests, pulmonary function tests, and other evaluations as indicated by the study protocol. Medications will be supplied to the participating patients and financial compensation will be given for their travel and time. |
